1. Who is responsible
Virtual Lovers (“we”, “us”) is responsible for your personal information. You can reach us at [email protected] for anything in this policy.
2. What we collect

| Technical | Your IP address and basic request details, used briefly for security and to prevent abuse, and a sign-in session cookie. |
We do not collect payment details, because nothing is sold today.
3. How we use it
- To run your account and create the Activities you ask for.
- To keep Virtual Lovers secure and prevent misuse.
- To answer your messages and give support.
- To fix problems and improve the service.
- To meet our legal duties.
Where privacy law asks for a legal basis (for example in the UK and EU) we rely on: providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and working, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.
4. AI, your content and who can see it
The AI that understands your requests and creates your pictures and videos runs on servers we control. The words you ask an avatar to say are sent to a trusted voice provider (currently ElevenLabs) so they can be turned into speech. The provider processes them on our behalf to create the voice.
We do not use what you write or create to train AI models. Our team can see your content only when needed to give you support, keep the service safe, or meet the law.
5. Sharing
We share personal information only with companies that help us run the service (for example voice generation, email and hosting), when the law requires it, or to protect people from serious harm. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
6. Moving data between countries
Our providers and systems may handle information in countries other than yours. Where privacy law requires it, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses so your information stays protected.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and content while your account is active so you can enjoy your Activities again. When you ask us to delete your account we remove or anonymise your information within 30 days. Backups can take up to 35 days to roll off. We keep security records only as long as they are needed, and temporary technical data (such as rate-limit counters) is removed within minutes or days.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- give you a copy of your information (access and portability);
- correct what is wrong;
- delete your account and information;
- limit or stop how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave.
If you live in the UK or EU these are your rights under data protection law. If you live in California, you can ask what we collect, and ask us to correct or delete it; we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. If you live in Japan, you can ask us to disclose, correct, delete or stop using your personal information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local privacy authority.
9. Age
Virtual Lovers is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used the service, please tell us and we will remove the account.
10. Keeping your information safe
We protect information with secure password hashing, restricted access, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours, and we will tell you and the authorities about a breach where the law requires it.
11. Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a few small settings saved in your browser. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Notice.
